 XVI.2. GEORGE AUGUSTUS (YELVERTON), EARL OF SUSSEX, &c., 1st son and heir, born 27 July 1727; styled VISCOUNT DE LONGUEVILLE till 1731; educated at Westminster, 1737-44; was joint
 hostage to France for the delivery of Cape Breton, October 1748 to August 1749; a Lord of the Bedchamber to Frederick, Prince of Wales, 1749, and to George, Prince of Wales, 1751 till his death. He died unmarried 8 January 1758 in London and was buried at Easton-Maudit, aged 30. [CP 12[1]:534]
