Continued: Samuel Hazeltine was born on 20 February, 1645/46 in Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of John Hazeltine (b: about 1620 in Bideford, Devonshire, England) and Joan Anter (b: about 1624 in England.) His mother and father immigrated from England. He lived in Bradford, on part of the original homestead of his father. He was married at Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts on December 28, 1670, to Deborah Cooper. She was born in Rowley on August 30, 1650, and was the daughter of Peter Cooper, of Rowley (one of the original members of the church at Bradford.) His wife joined the church in 1682. They had the following children, born at Bradford: --- Deborah, born July 17, 1672 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts; married James Wallingford --- Elizabeth, born March 22, 1673-74 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts; married John Hutchins --- Samuel, b: 24 MAY 1678 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts --- John, born May 24, 1678 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts --- Nathaniel, born May 18, 1680, died August 17, 1680; --- Hepsibah, twin, born May 18, 1680, unmarried in 1727; --- Nathaniel, June 24, 1683, died May 9, 1759, married (1st) Joanna Weed, (2nd) Sarah (unknown.) Samuel Hazeltine died on 19 AUG 1717, in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts. Deborah Cooper died on 18 April, 1689 in Rowley, Mass.
