Notes
a. Note:   A family tree on <www.ancestry.com> identifies Richard Phillip's wife as Hannah Anderson. I've also seen Hannah Stockton.
If she was Hannah Anderson, this MIGHT be her lineage (from LDS files):
  1. JOACHIM ANDRIESSEN b. 1649 in Amsterdam, Holland, d. abt. 1675 in Elizabethtown, NJ; m. Emmetje Jans. Children: Elias, JOSHUA, Enoch, Cornelius
  2. JOSHUA ANDERSON b. abt Feb. 1666/67 in New York City, NY; bap. Feb. 20, 1666/67 in Low Dutch Church, NY, NY; d. Dec 1730 in Hunterdon Co., NJ; m. Engeltie Opdyke on June 23, 1695, Low Dutch Church, NY. She was the dau of Joahannes Opdyke and Catherine. She was b. 1679 in Dutch Kills, NY, and died 1741 in Hunterdon Co., NJ. Children: Joshua, Anna, John, Benjamin, Isaac, Jacob, Abraham, Catherine, HANNAH (possibly the wife of Richard Phillips).
The Andersons and the Opdykes were large Dutch families whose roots in America predated the English takeover of New Jersey and New York. The land in Hopewell that Abner Phillips inherited from Richard Phillips (see note under Abner Phillips) was originally sold to Richard Phillips by Hannah Anderson's uncle Cornelius Anderson. It is interesting and perhaps significant that Abner Phillips of Surry Co., NC, thought to be Richard Phillips' son, named his second son Cornelius.
Hannah's birthdate given here is from an LDS file. Documentation needed!!!
