Note: War of 1812 Service Records Cemetery Inscriptions of Highland County, OH Terah Templin's Will Know all men by these presence that I Terah Templin of the County of Highland and State of Ohio, do make my last will and testament in the manner and form following: That is to say that first of all that my just debts be paid if any. I likewise will and bequeath undo my son Eli Templin the farm or plantation which ne now resides or lives on situate and lying in Marshall Township and in the County and State aforesaid and bounded as follows onthe South by Noah Lucas and Jacob Millers farm on the E. by Jacob Millers on the north by John Tudors farm on the west by Noble Vansants and John Sparguire line containing 124 acres and one hundred and twent four acres of land with all it contains and all its impertenances thereof. I likewise will and bequeath to him all my good, chattles, moneys and due bills which I shall possess before my decease except so much as will be otherwise disposed of in this will to other heirs and for other purposes by his paying to the other heirs as much money as is on hand as soon as it can be conveniently be collected and by paying the several sums specified in this will the remainder which is not on hand to be paid in fifty or one hundred dollars yearly as he shall find it covenient also I will and bequeath unto my son John W. Templin one dollar as he has received his dower also I will and bequeath unto my daughter Mary W. Storer three hundred dollars I also will and bequeath unto the heirs of my son James H Templin one dollar as they have received their portion. I also will unto my son Newton A. Templin one dollar as he has received his portion I also will unto my son Milton P. Templin one dollar as he has received his portion I like wise bequeath unto my daughter Nancy T. Horn the sum of two hundred dollars she having received part of hers. I will and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza Smith one hundred and ten dollars she having received part of her portion. I will and bequeath twenty-five dollars unto the bord of the Presbyterian education society for the use of said society in the United States of America I aslo bequeath unto the American bible society for the use of sd society seventy-five dollars. I here also constitute my son Milton P> Templin as Executor of this my last will and testament in testimony whereof. I have here unto my hand and affixed my seal this 4th day of June 1856 Tearh Templin (Seal) Signed, published and delivered by the agove named Terah Templin all and for his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same. Attest: Samuel J. Elliott, Robert Cosby, Luther A. Mclellan State of Ohio, Highland County Highland Probate Court August 14th A. D. 1856 This day the last will and testament of Terah Templin, late of Highland County, Ohio deceased was produced in open court whereupon came personally Samuel J. Elliott Robert Cosby and Luther A. McClellan subscribing witnesses thereto who being first duly sworn despose and say that said Terah Templin at the time of executing and publishing said last will and testmanet which is hereto annexed was over the age of twenty-one years of sound mind and memory and not under any restraint that he voluntarily subscribed said last will and testament and in their presence and hearing published and declared the same to be his last will and testament and that they in his presence and at his request signed the same as subscribing witnesses thereto and in the presence of each other.
