Notes

Note: Noel attended St. John's C of E school in Gloucester St, Coventry, passing the scolarship to go to Bablake shool. Unfortunately his parents could not afford the uniform,so he was unable to attend .On leaving school , he joined the army and was in the Royal Engineers, Tank Corps Division, from 1925 to 1933 and also during the war from 1939 to 1940 when he was medically discharged witha duodenal ulcer. He worked for the Coventry Corporation from 1933, starting as a labourer and finishing up as Chief Structural Engineer, a Post he held until his death in 1966.
