Note: Grover Durwood Wilson, 61, of Hartsburg died today, Sept. 11,1986, at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturdayat Peace United Church of Christ in Hartsburg with the Rev. Herschel Hughes officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Ashland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Burnett Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson worked as an operating engineer for Capital City Water Company in Jefferson City for 27 years. Born Sept. 12, 1924, in Ashland to Barney and Ova Burnett Wilson, he married Dorothy Brune Feb. 19, 1945, and she survives.
He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Hartsburg, a charter member of Hartsburg American Legion Post 474, a charter member of Ashland VFW Post 6762, a member of the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce and and a member of the U.S.S. California Association.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Dale Wilson and Don Wilson, both of Ashland and Dean Wilson of Bloomington, Minn.; a sister, Bonnie Gardner of Columbia; and four grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Memorials may be sent to Candlelighters of Columbia.
