Note: Floy Gardner McQuitty, 104 and 10 months of Woodlandville died November 27,1998, at Lenoir Health Care. Mrs. McQuitty was born January 19, 1894 in Oreana, Illinois to T. W. and Elizabeth Berkler Gardner. She married Alvin Little McQuitty on October 26, 1916 and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. McQuitty came with herfamily from Illinois in 1901 and they settled on the Model Farm near Woodlandville. She was a life-time member ofthe Woodlandville United Methodist Church which her father helped to build. She was very active in the church and its activities as well as community activities. She and her husband owned and operated the general store in Woodlandville from 1933 to 1970.
Survivors include: one daughter, Marjorie Hagen of Columbia, MO; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
