Note: Mrs. Jimmie P. Taylor, 77, of Ashland died Thursday, Sept. 7, 1995, at Candlelight Care Center in Columbia. Services are 1 p.m. Monday, Sept.11, at Ashland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial wIll be in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation is from to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland.
Mrs. Taylor was born June 4, 1918, in Ashland to James Burnett and Dora Hudson Burnett. On Oct. 1, 1936, she married Emery Taylor in Ashland, and he died Oct. 16, 1992.
She was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church and of the Ashland Senior Center and was active in community affairs.
Survivors include a son, Terry Taylor of Calipatria, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Taylor Katz of Overland Park, Kan.; a sister, Frances Foster of Fulton; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
