Note:   1925 MISS KATHRYN MCCULLOUGH BECOMES BRIDE AT BEAUTIFUL LAWN WEDDING One of the prettiest weddings ever solemnized was the one Fridayevening on the lawn at the home of Mrs. Julia McCullough on NorthCrawford street when her daughter, Miss Kathryn McCullough was marriedto Mr. Ralph Cooper at eight o'clock.
 Appearing from a door on the left from the McCullough home camethe groom and best man, Robert Pollard and the officiating clergyman,Rev. George Clark, they came down an aisle to an improvised altarbefore a table upon which lay an open Bible and two large whitecandles were burning. Here they waited for the bride who, with hermother, Mrs. Julia McCullough, came down another aisle from the left.They followed closely behind the maid of honor, Miss MargaretDismukes. The simple ring ceremony was used.
 The birde looked beautiful in a chiffon and lace gown with bridalveil and wreath. The veil is a family heirloom, worn by her mother andother relatives at their weddings. The mother wore pale greengeorgette over silk and the maid of honor wore a lace dress over coalpink. silk.
 The setting of this wedding was beautiful the colorspredominating were pink and white.
 The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Julia McCullough and J. H.McCullough, she was born and raised here. Was a graduate of the Downeyschools and a graduate of the University of California, southernbranch, this spring. She is a young lady of pleasing personality andhas a wide circle of friends.
 The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cooper, of Montebello, heis not known in Downey, but in his home city is held in highestesteem.
 Following the wedding a receptino was given in the dining room ofthe McCullough home to about one hundred guests then the couple leftfor Long Beach where they spent a few days then on to San Franciscowhere they will spend at least two weeks. When they return they willreside at Owensmouth.
 The wedding march was played by Mrs. J. H. Ardis and precedingthis she sang "At Dawning," accompanied on the violin by Miss EdnaClaire Van Metre.
