 1962 Couple Celebrates 60th Anniversary.
 Friends called to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McCullough of 210Fourteenth Street who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, Aug.6.
 Mr. and Mrs. McCullough were married Aug 6, 1902, at Knox PresbyterianChurch, Morden, by Rev. Dr. M. C. Rumble.(1)
 Mr. McCullough was born in North Hatley, P.Q., in 1870 and came westto Boissevain, May 8, 1889. Mrs. McCullough, the former IsabelMacDonald, was born in 1877 at Pembroke, Ont., and came west to Mordenwith her mother while quite young.
 Their first home was at Cartwright where Mr. McCullough worked in aprivate bank and later opened the first branch of The Bank of Toronto.They then moved to Portage la Prairie where they lived until 1928 whenMr. McCullough retired from the bank. Mr. and Mrs. McCullough haveresided in Brandon since that time.
 Both are in good health. Mr. McCullough plants and tends his gardenand Mrs. McCullough does her housework.
 Mr. McCullough is the last of a family of five brothers and threesisters. Mrs. McCullough has one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Gemmill ofBrandon.(2)
 1999 William ran a chick hatchery and as a small boy I used to lovevisiting his hatchery and playing with the baby chicks. Somewhere wayback in my memory the name of lawrence Gemmill comes to mind and Ibelieve he was one of their relatives also living in Brandon around1950-1960, but I don't know the relationship. Uncle Will as we calledW.J., lived to be well into his 90's and he always took pride in beingable to dig and care for his own vegetable garden at 90 years ofage.(3)
