Notes
a. Note:   Family tradition says that John Hunt would "take off" for weeks at a time, traveling around, not worrying about his family because he knew that his father-in-law would take care of him. A picture that is in the family shows John drinking whiskey in Oklahoma City on St. Patrick's Day in the year ____.
His marriage to Delia was probably not always a happy one. Family tradition says that many people felt that Delia was "too good" for Johnny Hunt. The 1900 census shows John as a boarder in a house just a few blocks away from the house where his wife, son, and father-in-law were living!
Rose Flynn and Timothy Riorden were witnesses at the wedding of John and Delia.
John was a twin; his twin brother was named George.
John and his wife Delia died on the same day. Delia had been hospitalized for three weeks and was the sicker of the two. John, however, suffered a heart attack at home and died immediately. Delia was told about the death and seemed to be taking it quite well, but then died suddenly a few hours later. A double funeral was held for them at Murray Funeral Home and St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. The total costs for the funeral were $743.25.
