Notes
a. Note:   Alice was with her 2nd husband William in Balsam Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin in 1900. They lived 2 places down from the Tippin family who her son George married their daughter Ivy. By 1910 Alice and William were living in Spokane, Washington. So they must have traveled with George, Ivy, the Tippins and the Hillards to Washington. In 1920 Alice and William are living still in Spokane. In the 1910 & 1920 census it is stated that she had 3 children and 3 were living. After her husband William died in 1928 she moved to Dayton, Kootenai County, Idaho. In the 1930 Census shows she was living there as a lodger with Mary McKinney, 50, Grace McKinney, 41, and John Harp, 8. Alice is 81 years old. Her son George and his new wife, Angeline were living in Benawaha County, Idaho working. On her headstone it is written Mother. At Greenwood Cemetery Alice lies in Section 19, Lot 77, Space 13.
  Alice's Obituary Chronicle March 11, 1933:
"Hooper, Mary age 80. Her home was at E 41 Euclid. Survived by 2 sons, George Wheeler of Coeur de' lene, Idaho and David of Wisconsin, 1 daughter Mrs. Sarah Covert of Wisonsin. Funeral services will be held Monday March 13 at 11:30am from Hazen-n-Jaegers Chapel. The Reno Relief Corps of the G.A.R. will officiate Interment at Greenwood Cemetery."
The name Mary either was a misprint or George, her son, said it wrong same with the son in Wisconsin, it should be Daniel and not David unless there is another son. There was 14 years between George and his older brother Daniel so it is possible there is another son named David. In a state census of Wisconsin there is listed another boy but no name just an age.
In the 1910 Directory of Spokane Alice is registered as: Hooper Mrs. A.E. Box 1661 on E. 3415-29 2g (Rtd 3) Dates are 9-12 and 5-18
 Hooper Wm. H E. 3415-19 E. 29th ave. Rtd 3 Dates are 9-12, 9-15 and 6-28
In the 1929 and the 1920 Directorys of Spokane Alice and her husband are not listed.
When Alice was married to Chrisopher they would go to Pheonix, New York to visit relatives. A Julia Williams and her husband John. Julia's mother was Maria Shaw. Alice's mother Catherine had a sister named Maria. So Julia would be Alice's cousin.
