Note: Samuel died in a Chicago, Illinois P.O.W. Camp at Camp Douglas during the Civil War. He was wounded at Malvern Hill, went home, healed and joined the 13th Louisiana Cavalry. He was captured at Harrisburg and sent to Camp Douglas where he died.
