a. Note:   Anita sailed from Naples Italy on the ship S S Romanic when she was 22 years old with her year old son, Nino Pelligrino arriving in Boston, Massachusetts on November 13, 1909. Several fellow passengers were from Carrara also traveling to Rutland, Vermont. One person was Francesco Baretta.
 Anita had a beautiful singing voice and sang in the church choir and once sang in the presence of the governor of Vermont.
