Note: N186 Obit Services for David E.E.Cavallin, a retired school teacher, were held in San Deigo last Monday April 15. Mr. Cavallin died in a hospital on April 11. He was born in Duluth on June 26, 1906, but lived in Two harbors until he graduatied from high school. A graduate of the University of Minnesota., Mr. Cavallin did graduate work at San Diego State University, California Western and U.C.L.A. Prior to moving to the West Coast, he taught school in Virginia Minnesota for 16 years, from 1929 to 1945. Before retiring in 1970, Mr Cavallin had taught 24 years in the San Diego City Schools. He was a member of the Rolando United Methodist Chirch, the Retired Teachers Assn., the Kiwanis Club, and the Copley Y.M.C.A. He was a past president of the San Diego Association for Exceptional Children. Survivors include his wife, Marion, three sons, James and Bruce, bot of San Diego; and David Jr. of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Edward Humphrey of Grand Marais; four brothers, Erland and Swaney of Two Harbors, Gideon of Duluth, and Caleb of Pine City; and five grandchildren. Entombment was in the Cypress View Mausoleum in San Diego.
