Text: Hand, Gerald W. - age 66, of Iuka, Mississippi - formerly of Whiting, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 1982. Survivors: wife, Annie Adell; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sills of Whiting, Indiana and Mrs. Kathleen French of Dyer, Indiana; five sisters. Mrs. Nellie Lucas of Hobart, Indiana, Mrs. Katherine Strawn of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Mrs. Mary Branchfield of San Mateo, California, Mrs. Margaret Flynn of Farmington, Illinois and Mrs. Barbara Reed of New Mexico; three brothers, Harold Hand and George Hand, both of East Side, Illinois and John Hand of Valparaiso, Indiana; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Chapel, Bolivar, Tennessee, with Rev. George Johnson officiating. Burial, Middleburg Cemetery, Bolivar. Mr. Hand was a retired electrician; was a Whiting resident all of his life until moving to Bolivar 6-1/2 years ago.
