Note:   Index to Luzerne County Deeds, 1780-1907, vol. 2, p. 400 indicates that Anna Margaret Snell bought land from Noah Murray in the township of Athens - date of deed Feb. 19, 1793; recorded Oct. 1, 1793 in Athens Township. She paid 25 pounds. The land was described as being in the township of Athens, "lot number eighteen formerly laid out to Oliver Bigelow...on the West side of Tioga Branch where the heirs of the said Jacob Snell now live"
  Same, p. 401 indicates jointure between Joseph Spalding and Anna Margaret Snell, signed Sept. 12, 1793 and recorded Oct. 1, 1793. "Whereas the aforesaid Joseph Spalding and Anna Margaret Snell have covenanted together and agreed to enter into a State of Matrimony with each other as Husband and Wife, and being both desirous of securing to ourselves and our present heirs or children our Estates and property respectively, we the said parties do therefore covenant and agree Mutually with each other...and do...relinquish, release, and forever cease to Claim or Demand or to have any ? of right whatsoever for ourselves, our children, or any other person or persons who in or from our present situation might be deemed or considered our Lawfull heirs or assigns in, of and unto the whole, any, and every part, each of the others estate, property, Interest, claim and ? of interest whatsoever."

  According to "Record of Pennsylvania Marriages Prior to 1810", a John Ozias married mary Connar on June 25, 1789 at Swedes' Church, Philadelphia.
