Note: Index to Luzerne County Deeds, 1780-1907, vol. 120, p. 220 - Samuel B. Snell bought land in Franklin Township from Abram V. and Winfield D. Snell on Oct. 23, 1867. The lands are described as "the same tracts of land lately owned by Susan Snell containing fifty acres of land more or less." Luzerne County Deed Books also contain the following: October 24, 1871 - Lewis H. Winters to W.D. Snell of Ransom Township, three parcels of land in the village of Milwaukee. (Survey included) March 1875 (?) - W.D. Snell to Emanuel Winters, for $1300, parcel of land not described. March 1876 - Malory D. Williams and wife Julia to W.D. Snell of Franklin Township, for $500, a tract of land that had been conveyed to Williams in 1867 by John C. Morris. March 1876 - Malory D. Williams and wife to W.D. Snell, 124 rods and 128 feet of land "Being the same premises which Alanson Seward and wife Prudence...by the within written indenture dated the fourth day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty six...granted and conveyed unto the said Malory D. Williams." (Survey included)
