a. Note:   Note: Burial record at Dunmore Cemetery lists Elizabeth Snell's age as 57 years, which would make her birthdate 1859.
  It is interesting to note that buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, near Falls, with Samuel Snell's family and the elder Van Loons, are a number of Swarthouts. Among them are Zurah (1822-1886) and his wife Elizabeth (1821-1887) and two of their daughters, Elizabeth (1857-1858) and Matilda (1849-1851). Zurah and Elizabeth may perhaps be Elizabeth Swarthout Snell's parents.
  Zura Swarthout is listed in the 1860 census for Franklin Township, Luzerne County, p. 184.
