a. Note:   The will of John Sherman of Yaxley, County Suffolk, England, was proved in Norwich on Dec. 12, 1504, executors having been named August 10, 1504. His wife, Agnes, received his "tenements in Yaxley called Hobbes...and a close called Tilers close", as well as his "tenements in Yaxley wherein I now dwell...or else my tenement in Dysse with appurtenances thereto belonging (except a close called Elmswell) at her choice." Thomas was to come into a sum of money at the age of 22, as well as "four quaters of barley and a cow." John's wife and Thomas Fuller, his father-in-law, were named as executors. (Roy V.
