Note: 1920 Morgan County Kentucky Census: Nelson Bishop age 43 Nancy- wife- age 44 Stanley- age 23 John- age 21 Mattie- age 19 Ireland- age 18 Hawkins- age 16 (shown as Havins on census) Boyd- age 8 Mary- age 5 Nelson married Nancy at the home of Dock Stamper, in the precence of Kelly Debusk and C.A. Havens. Note- This can not have been the Kelly Debusk that we have listed as a son of Hester and Elias Debusk. This must have been another Kelly, related to Elias in some way. Hester and Elias' son Kelly wasn't born until 1906. Nelson married Nancy in 1895. In the County Court Order Books of Morgan County Kentucky: Book 8, page 463: Nelse fixed his certificate of Elective to the officeof constable of Morgan County and executed bond with Miles Bishop, Robert ?; and J.L. Fugett his sureties , and taken of of office.... dated 12-27-1897. Book 12, page 214; Book 9- pages 13, 170, 15, 46, 47, 521 - Book 8- pages 495, 521 Nelson, as constable, appeared in many records for other individuals, therefore, some of those records were of no genealogical use at this time. One note, however, in bk 12, pg 214, names are mentioned in description of an area of land that may give us a small clue as to where Hester owned land, if we can locate a plat map for that time. Nelse appt. Supt. to open new road leading from the mouth of the Evaline?? farmer branch through the lands of Mrs. Charles Howard, Evaline Farmer, ELIAS DEBUSK,and Lloyd Engle to intersect the county road on Pleasant Run.
