Note: Hester is often referred to as Hestero Hettie. Her twin,Freeborne Grant, name also said to be Freeborne Garrison Bishop. I found Hester's grave in the Ezel Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday morning, Feb 28, 2004. I note the date I found it for one main reason. The grave appeared to have been dug up fairly recently, at least within the past year. I can't imagine why on earth anyone would have wanted her grave dug up. This needs to be worked on!
Obituary Debusk Hester Bishop Debusk was born April 3, 1880, died 10, 13, 1961. She was a daughter of Miles Bishop and the wife of Elisha Debusk, deceased Feb. 18, 1958. Two sons also preceded her in death- Russell Debusk and Garland Debusk. Surviving are two sons, Chalmer, of Ezel and Kelly, of Dayton, Ohio, four sisters, Mrs. Lou Burnett, Middletown, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Rose, Ustus, Florida, Mrs. Grace Murphy, Ezel, Mrs. Julia Nickell, Blanchester, Ohio; three brothers, Donson Bishop, Ezel, L.D. Bishop, Iowa, and Roscoe Bishop, Winchester, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist Church and lived a devoted Christian life. She was a good loving mother, a good neighbor and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. (Handwritten note at bottom of sheet says Sharon Adams has original).
