Note: . Gay, Huron River Dr., Rockwood MI (1983). MONROE COMMERCIAL NEWS, October 29, 1959: "Samaria-LeRoy C. Hitchcock, 85, of 2027 W. Samaria Rd., died at 9 a.m. today in his home after being ill several weeks. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Farnham Funeral Home in Temperance. Burial will be in Hitchock Cemetery at Temprance. Born March 10, 1874, at Temperance, he was the son of Elisha and Mary Jane Hitchcock. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired farmer. Survivors are four sons, Reia (sic), Carl, Channing and Beryl, all in Detroit; a daughter, Irma of Detroit, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Stieg of Temperance." Pearl was still alive as of 1914.
