  REF: History of Bowen-Green Families, 1793-1928. After marriage to Phebe, he settled in western part of NY, operating grist mills at Lockport and Middleport. He supposedly had four sons and two daughters. Same article also indicated that he was the son of Asa Bowen who took part in the American Revolution where he was with Washington at Valley Forge. He also took part in the War of 1812 although no such record has been found.
  Same article mentions that he had two nephews. Daniel and Hiram.

Note:   After marriage to Phebe, he settled in Western NY, operating grist mill
