  PETERSBURG SUN, July 21, 1916 and July 28, 1916:
  " Alfred W. Tucker was born in Ohio June 25, 1846, and died at his home in Petersburg July 21, 1916, aged 70 years and 26 days. In 1863 he enlisted in the 18th Michigan Volunteers, from which he was transferred to the 9th Michigan Infantry, serving his country to the close of the war. He was united in marriage to Phebe Porter, of Bedford, Mich., Feb. 20, 1877. This union was broken by her death six years later. In 1885 he was united in marriage to Margaret McMeekin, of Whiteford two. He was converted in, and for a number of years was a member of, the Wesleyan Methodist church. He lived and died a consistent christian. He was a meber of the H.W. Lawton G.A.R. post of Samaria, Mich., and served as chaplain until he moved to Petersburg two years ago. He leaves to mourn thier loss the wife, five children, 9 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
 Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at Lambertville, by Rev. J.F. Wilkinson.
 Card of Thanks We desire to express our heart's gratitude to all friends who assisted us during the long illness and since the death of our dear husband and father.
 Mrs. Tucker and Children" PETERSBURG SUN . oCT 3, 1926 AND oCT 8, 1926:
  " Margaret Tucker was born in the county of Antrim, Ireland, April 14, 1852, and came to Ohio three years ago later with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKeekin. She was united in marriage in 1885 to Alfred W. Tucker. This union was broken by the death of her husband in July 1916. She remained at her home in Petersburg until her death Oct. 3rd, 1926, reaching the age of 74 years, five month and sixteen days.
 She was active in Rebekah Lodge No. 432 and Morgan Parker Relief Corps of Petersburg, also active in the work of the Methodist church.
 One son, one step-son, one step-daughter, two sisters, three brothers, nine grandchildren and a host of friends are left to mourn her loss.
 Funeral was conducted at the M.E. Church, Rev. A.T. Camburn officiating. Rebekah Lodge No. 432 and Morgan Parker Relief Corps attended in a body.
 Card of Thanks We wish to express our thanks to relatives, friends and nieghbors for their kindness and sympathy shown us during the illness and at the death of our bel;oved mother, and for the beautiful floral offerings.
