Note: I believe that at some point Luther lied about his age. He says he was born on 1917 in his social security application, and that date appears on his miltary records and on his death certificate. However he does not appear on the 1920 census with his family done in Jan of 1920. In the April 1930 census he is listed as 10 years old.
Also it is possible that he is not the son of Dalton. According to Paula, the daughter of his sister Netta, Netta always referred to him as her half brother, while claiming that David was her full brother.
