Death of John W. Haggerty John W. Haggerty, one of the earliest settlers, oldest citizens and best known residents of Bunker Hill died of heart failure at the family home last Saturday morning after an attack of sickness lasting only a few weeks. The death of this excellent man was quite a shock to the community. His sickness became quite alarming more than a week before his death, but the general public felt he was improving. In fact, he was able to be out on the sidewalk Friday. However, Saturday morning about daylight he became suddenly worse and before his son Albert and daughter Mae could summon any one he passed peacefully away. Thus passes away not only one of our most honored and highly respected citizens, but one of the truest Christian gentlemen that ever lived in our midst - a man whose worth was recognized and whose absence will be felt by the entire communtiy. The family loses an affectionate loving father, the church a zealous worker and faithful member and the community one of her most worthy citizens.
