a. Note:   Nancy had told the family that when she died she wanted to be removed through the kitchen door as "it was the only door she ever used. In the picture included for the family history she is not wearing a hat- which I understand was very unusual for her. The picture is with her 2nd husband James Thomas Horton, who she married a couple of years after Joe died and had several more children with him.
