  1900
The 1900 U.S. census shows "Egnaz Napierala" and wife "Josepha" living in Princeton, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, on the day of the census (June 9 and 11, 1900). He was listed as born July 1855, she October 1848, both born in Germany to parents also born in Germany. They had been married for 20 years. According to 1900 census notes, they had a total of 8 children, 7 of whom were still living at the time of the 1900 census. Three were in the household, so four children would have been living elsewhere at the time of 1900. The three living in the household were Theresa (age 13, born October 1886), Mary (age 11, born December 1888), and daughter Josepha (age 9, born December 1890). All of these girls were born in Wisconsin. They had immigrated to the US 17 years prior. Neither Ignac nor Josefa could read, write, or speak English. He was a farmer, and they owned a farm which was mortgaged. 1900 US Census, Princeton, Green Lake County, WI: Green Lake County, Page 143a, lines 75-79.
  1910
The 1910 U.S. census shows Ignatz "Naperalla" living with his wife Josepha on Germantown Road in Princeton town, Green Lake County, Wisconsin. The date of the census was 7 May 1910. Ignatz is 54 years old, born in German Poland to Polish parents. Josepha is 61 years old, also born in German Poland to Polish parents. They had been married for 30 years; it was his first marriage, but her second. She had borne a total of 7 children, all of whom were still alive as of the census. Two of the children were still living with them as of this census, a son and a daughter. The daughter Mary is listed as single, 21 years old, born in Wisconsin. The son's name is illegible, it appears to be like "Lenatz" or "Lenaty"; he is listed as single, aged 25, born in Wisconsin. Ignatz is listed as a farmer. They own their farm free and clear. Everyone in the house speaks English, except for Josepha who speaks Polish. Ignatz, Josepha, and the son "Lenatz" can read and write, but Mary cannot. Immediately next door to Ignatz and Josepha are nephew Anton, his sister Maggie and her husband Joseph?, and a neice and a son.
