Note: read by her at Mike's memorial ceremony: Dear Michael, Your life was filled with earthly things Now look, you have your angel wings. Is it like your Wittman up there, flying high? What can you see up there in the sky? You're free now from this world's woes While we're left behind to fight our foes But we're glad your battle is over the hill Yet we miss you so much and always will You can see much more than we, I know How temporary these lives below Our bodies just temples, housing our soul To get to Heaven should be our goal So as your remains are scattered here And we wipe away many a tear Let us not think of things on earth But of our own eternal birth When we too can soar in Heaven above Feeling nothing but the Savior's love meeting our loved ones in the air Do tell Dad & Mom that we'll be there We'll gather as a family once more and tell stories of what was before Watch o'er us big brother as you used to do It won't be long til we're there with you Laughing and playing in the winds on high Never again to suffer, or be lonely or cry So now for Michael's life God, we thank You And Bless us until we can all join there too.
