 Mr. John C. Nash, well-known in this place, died at his residence yesterday at 1 o'clock, after a long illness from consumption. Mr. Nash had suffered with the disease for several months, but had only been confined to his bed for the last three months. He was a member of the Mason, Odd Fellows and Pythian Orders, and was highly respected by a large number of friends The funeral will take place from the Chestnut Street M. E. Church tomorrow morning.

 The funeral of Mr. John C. Nash, of Berkley, took place at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Chestnut M. E. Church, and was largely attended. The lodge of Masons, Odd Fellows and Pythians, of which the deceased was a member, were in attendance in a body. The sevices were conducted by the pastor of the church, of which Mr. Nash was a devoted and consistant member, and Rev. George S. Hobday, of Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, assisted in the exercises. At their conclusion the remains were borne to their last resting place in the old family burial ground. The following were the pallbearers:
 Masons - J. R. Walke Jr. and George Wrenn
 Odd Fellows -- Clarence Dunn
 Pythians -- K.W. Halstead
 Citizens - Wilson Beale
 All the pallbearers were selected by the deceased who up to the last retained his mental faculty to a remarkable degree.
