 My maternal cousin, Nancy Schakel Bryant, has done a lot of genealogy research and she suggested (on Fbk) that this photo [of Engeltje] might be of Jelle's sister Grietje who married Willem van der Meer. According to Nancy, Grietje and Willem had several boys then all girls. I checked Tresoar and found that Grietje (born 25 Nov 1872) had 4 boys: Bauke, b. 18 March 1894, Jelle b. 10 August 1896, Eerde b. 27 July 1898 and Titus b. 30 July 1900. Then she had a girl, Hinke born 3 October 1902.  This photo could be of her and her family in early 1902 (before Hinke was born), but she doesn't look too pregnant. And she would have had 4 boys, not 3...unless one had died. And the oldest boy in the photo looks older than 8, the youngest one looks to be about 3 (Eerde?) then where is Titus? born 1900?
