Richtje Jelles Nauta was born April 11, 1880 in Schraad. 6th child (5th surviving) of Jelle Jelles Nauta and Tietje Tjittes Wiersma. She was the immediately older sister of our grandpa Jelle who was born Jan 20, 1882 also in Schraad. Jelle Jelles and Tietje Tjittes had 3 more kids after Jelle ( Baukje b 1884, Tjitte b 1886--the 2nd of his name--, and Pieter b 1888) for a total of 10 kids. Richtje was Cecil Wynalda's grandmother Maaike's (1876-1908) immediately younger sister.
On May 5, 1911 Richtje Jelles Nauta married Hessel Visser. They had 5 children:
1) Alle Hessels Visser (in English Alexander) (b. Aug 6, 1911, d Oct 26, 1999) who married X and had 4 children:
1a. Hessel Alles Visser
2a. Tina Alles Visser (probably named for Tietje Tjittes, her grandmother)
3a. Richtje (Ruth) Alles Visser b. 1946 who married Andy Fennema and had 2 kids.They emigrated to Canada. Ruth Fennema lives in Canada (Ontario?) but winters in FL, on the Gulf Coast.
4a. Wilma Alles Visser who married X Buma and had 2 kids: Catherine and Andrea Buma (of the i-Friesland Forum). I think Wilma also lives in Canada. Cat and Andrea live in Ontario and are both married with children.
2) Tietje Hessels Visser who married X van der Goot and had 2 children. Lived in Friesland I think.

3) Akke Hessels (lived to adulthood but no further info on her) Lived in Friesland I think.
4) Sies Hessels (aka Cecil) Visser (b Oct 11, 1917, d Nov 28, 1995) who married Pieterje Bruinsma and emigrated to the US in 1957, had 4 kids.
4a Janna Akke Visser, born 1942, married X Visser and has 2 children. Son lives in Tacoma (Browns' Point) WA; daughter lives in CA.
4b. Harold (aka Hessel) Visser b. 1948

4d. Vicki (aka Rixt ) Visser born 1955
5) Jelle Hessels who married ? and has 1 daughter. He may have emigrated to Canada.
Janna sent me photocopied pics Richtje and Hessel Visser's family from the 1930s and of her family of origin just before they got on the boat in 1957.
