 Lillian Bernice Bennett Nauta age 90, widow of former Star editorialstaff writer, William F. Bennett, died April 6, 2008 in SulphurSpings, Texas. The daughter of Harold Scanlon and Faye Mashaan(Whiting) Miller, she was born March 20, 1918 in Indianapolis.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2008 atMemorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN.

 John William Bennett 55, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed awaypeacefully at his home in TX with his wife by his side Tuesday onSeptember 1, 2009 after an admirably courageous battle with ALS. Ourloving soul mate, father, sibling, uncle and friend is at peace;strong and healthy once again, free of pain living out eternity withHis Lord and Savior. Memorials can be made to MDA with John's name andearmarked for ALS research. He is survived by his beloved wife,Jennifer R. Bennett; son, Logan R. Bennett; daughter, Lilli M. Bennettof Keller, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Linda B. Johnson and RaymondR. Johnson of Sulphur Springs, TX; sister and brother-in-law, PatricaB. Ball and William Staab of Canton, GA; niece, Kelley P. Ball ofCanton, GA; brother-in-law, James W. Rowe of Indianapolis, IN; andmany friends. John will live in our hearts always.
