Note: Carl was a Master-Sargeant in the U.S. Army--WWII and Korean Conflict. He parachuted into Germany, suffered a head wound and wandered in the fields subsisting on onions for two weeks with mild amnesia before being rescued by American troops. After putting in his 20 years (including being stationed in Alaska), Carl and his family settled in Rochester, New York where he became a guard at Eastman Kodak Company until his retirement.
