a. Note:   From the Wilkes-Barre Record, Tuesday, 29 September 1959, page 4:
 "Mrs. Sarah Rinus, 92, of 231 Courtdale Avenue, Courtdale, passed away yesterday morning at 10 at her home following an illness. She was one of the oldest residents of the borough. A native of Plymouth, Mrs. Rinus was born May 12, 1867, and lived there and in Larksville until moving to Trucksville. The past 18 years she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Elliott Miller in Courtdale. Mrs. Rinus attended Courtdale Methodist Church. Also surviving are these children: James of Buffalo, N.Y.; Harry of Trucksville; Mrs. Aubrey Weaver of Courtdale; 44 grandchildren, two brothers, Mason (sic--should be Nathan) Zimmerman of Plymouth and Fred Zimmerman of Edwardsville. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 717 Main Street, Edwardsville, Thursday afternoon at 2, Reverend Dr. Roy H. Beane officiating. Burial in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call tonight, 7 to 10 and Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10."
 The flower carriers at Sarah's funeral were her granddaughters: Blanche Marcy, Nancy Rinus, Margaret Weaver, Marilyn Hornack, Anita Reese and Violette Carr. The pallbearers were her grandsons: George and Richard Marcy, James Weaver, Donald and William Rinus and Frank Miller.
