Note: N74 Charles P. Deibel, 74, of Long Beach, Calif., died Thursday, Oct. 13, in California.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Cypress, Calif.
Born May 6, 1909 in Saline County near Sharon, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Mollie Carr Deibel. On Jan. 28, 1933 he was married to Hettie McLaughlin and she survives of the home. Mr. Deibel graduated from Slater High School in 1927 and attended Chillicothe Business College. He was employed by the U.S. Engineers office in Marshall before moving to Mineral Wells, Texas. He later moved to Long Beach, Calif, where he made his home. He retired from the federal government in 1968 and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Olson [sic] of Long Beach, Calif.; a son, Ronald H. Deibel of Orange, Calif.; three granddaugthers; two grandsons; a brother, Lewis Deibel of Slater; two sisters, Ola D. Jones of Marshall; Lucile D. Smith of Slater and a nephew, Harold A. Smith of DeKalb, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
