Scott Farm on East side approximately three miles west of Brumit farm on Cherokee Rd. Grandparents Samuel & Margaret Ann? Brumit moved from Greenville County South Carolina in 1800 after Samuel purchased 52 acres from John Smith, Wa Co TN. He sold the property back to John Smith & purchased in 1806 another 100 acres from John Smith (John Smith had 398 granted acres). This 100 acres remained in the Brumit Family for three generations. After Samuel's death, David, his son purchased the farm from the heirs & lived there until his death about 1834, where David's wife Nancy A. Moreland & the children remain until her death about 1850. Then Daniel purchased the Brumit farm from his sibblings. After selling the farm, Daniel moved to Saline Co, Missouri in 1871 where 3rd wife, Louisa brother, William McAmis ( relocated there in 1865 following the Civil War) had a farm. Daniel purchased a farm next to William. Saline County is located in the Northern part of Missouri.
