S1) Eliza died young and is buried in the English Burial grounds, Newcastle, today called the Miramirchi Nordin cemetery. (S2) "Eliza McCafferty married John McDonald, 27 Apr., 1872, Newcastle Roman Catholic Records. John McDonald was from Antigonish, N.S., Canada. Eliza was from Richibucto. Richibucto is only about 20 miles South of St. Margaret's. The road that passes from Chatham through St. Margaret's to Richibucto is known locally as the Richibucto road. We believe that over the generations many McCafferty's moved back and forth from these areas for work, shipbuilding, farming and lumbering."
