Note: My paternal great grandfather-apparently came to this country from Ireland-at the age of ten ( from what I can gather). He was a man of little education. I only know of him from what little Aunt Al had heard from her mother and from my research-which was limited due to his common name.
Apparently, he was a drinking man and had many odd jobs in his lifetime--one of them being an iceman.
Aunt Al remembered her mother telling her that John had wept at the burial of his grandaughter Cecelia-saying "I'll be with you soon little one". Five days later he was buried next to her in Calvary Cemetery!!!
