Note: he died in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania. According to my sister Marge Wendell. Verda was committed to Warren State Hospital, for advanced dementia, in Warren County Pennsylvania in the mid to late 1950's. I'm pretty sure she died there. I have not been able to locate a Pennsylvania death certificate for Verda. I am currently having a records search done of the Warren State Hospital records at the Pennsylvania State Archives. I have also spoken to Cousin Shere, she is the only child of Verda's daughter Betty Jo. She remembers going to Verda's funeral/memorial in the spring of either 1958 or 1959 and the Verda was in a casket. I have had a search done of all the funeral homes in existence in that time frame and cannot locate a burial or cremation for Verda yet. It's become quite the mystery.
