  "In the Union of Dunkerin and Templehany, are two schools, in which upwards of ninety children of both sexes are educated on the bounty of the Parish Priest, and by the exertions of the less stressed of his Parishioners; and in the Parish of Lorrha, from 15 to 20 female children have, for the last three or four years, been most carefully instructed by Miss Clarke, of Moatfield, and her sisters, making, exclusive of the classical and female schools of Parsonstown and Roscrea, the aggregate number 2,480 Catholic children, or an average of 320 to each Parish or Union, who, under the sole guidance of their Pastors, and unaided by any endowed society or public body, enjoy the blessings of a humble, but moral and useful education."

 Dublin Evening Mail, 21 January 1831.
  "Mary McDonnell - Plaintiff
 Elizabeth Clarke and others - Defendants
  Persuant to and Order made in this Cause, bearing date 11th December 1830, I will, on the 24th day of JANUARY next, at One O'clock, afternoon, at my Chambers, on the Inn's-quay, Dublin, set up to be Let, for seven years, pending this Cause, all that and those, the House and Desmesne Lands of Moatfield, containing 76 acres, be the same more or less, together with the Callow Commonage and Turbary thereunto annexed, as late in the possession of Mary Egan. And also all that part of the Lands of Ballymassy, containing 9A 2R 9P., late in the possession of Hugh Clerey; and also that part of the said Lands of Ballymassy, late in the possession of Patrick Nowlan, containing eight acres, situate in the County of Tipperary. - Dated this 21st of December, 1830.

 The Lands of Moatfield are of the best quality for Meadow, Grazing and Tillage, with a superior Dwelling-house and Offices thereon, now in thorough repair, situate convenient to the River Shannon, and within four miles of Birr, three of Borris-o-Kane, and three of Portumna, in the Barony of Lower Ormond, and County of Tipperary.
 The Lands of Ballymassy are good Tillage Land, with a comfortable Cottier's House thereon. The entire would be let to one tenant, who will be required to take out Leases, and give security by recognizance for payment of rent.
 For further particulars, application to be made to JOHN ADAMS, Gent, the Receiver, TUAM; or at his Office, No 7, Arran-quay, Dublin; or to JOHN MAYNE, Esq., Defendant's Solicitor, French-street; THOMAS COLERAN will show the Lands."

  "The above Letting is adjourned to WEDNESDAY, the 9th FEBRUARY instant, at the hour of One O'clock. - Dated this 1st day of February, 1831.

  Bartholomew Burke, surviving Executor of Mary McDonnell, deceased. Plaintiff;

 Persuant to my report bearing date the 13th day of December last, made in this Cause, under the 185th General Rule, I will, on Wednesday day of 24th January inst. at the hour of One o'Clock in the afternoon at my Chambers on the Inns’-quay, Dublin, set up and let to the highest bidder, the House and Demesne of Moatfield. situate in the county of Tipperary, containing 76 Acres, or thereabouts, together with the Callow, Commonage and Turbary thereto annexed, late in the tenancy of Mary Egan, being part of the lands and premises in the pleadings mentioned.
 Dated 2nd day of January 1838.

  Adjourned until 17th February 1838 and again until 21st April 1838.
  The Desmesne Lands of Moatfield are prime fattening and Meadow Land, together with about 27 acres of excellent Callows. The house is in excellent repair, and fit for the accommodation of a repectable family. It is situate near the banks of the Shannon, within six miles of the town of Birr, four from Borris o'kane and two of Portumna. The premises will be let for seven years, pending the cause, from the 1st November last. The tenant on being declared, will have to enter into security recognizance for the punctual payment of the Rent.
 For further particulars, application to be made to John Adams, Solicitor, the Receiver, 81, Great-Britain-street, Dublin or Anne-field, Tuam; or to Mr. Denis Lehy, on the Lands."
