Notes
a. Note:   Samuel and Nellie raised seven children; Henry was born about 1818 and was followed by Cornelius, Jane, Sarah, Philip, Maria and Samuel. Samuel farmed his own land until he died on Christmas eve in 1872. After his death Samuel's farm was divided among his children with each receiving nine acres. Nellie continued living in her house with her family nearby until her death on February 27, 1896. According to her death record she was 103 years old, but its more likely that she was a few years shy of a century.
 In her will Nellie Naylor bequeathed In the name of God amen. I Nellie Naylor of Prince William County, do make this my last will & Testament as follows.
 1st. To my son Henry I bequeath my short bedstead, sofa & my split bottom chair.
 2nd To my son Cornelius I bequeth my wardrobe and the shaving table which formerly belonged to his father, and it is my earnest desire that he shall during his lifetime have a home in the house now occupied by me, and that he shall occupy the room adjoining the kitchen.
 3rd I give and bequeath to my son Phillip my toilet table, the decanter (the flowered one) and the arm chair.
 4th I gave and bequeath to my daughter Maria, my clock and the silver tea pot.
 5th I give and bequeath to my grandson Arthur Robinson my castors.
 6th I bequeath to my grandson Beverly Robinson his Uncle's portrait & also that of his uncle's wife.
 7th I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Jane Randolph my brass andirons.
 8th I devise to my grandchildren, Lizzie, Nellie and Nathaniel Robinson three acres of land to be equally divided between them, said land adjoins Arthur Robinson and Sallie Randolph's tract, and is at present covered almost entirely with wood.
 9th I give and bequeath to my daughter Sallie my bureau, looking glass, the dinning table & cover, the brass preserving kettle, & the high bedstead. And I devise to my said daughter Sallie in consideration of her taking care of me, my house and the land upon which it is situated, embracing three & three quarter acres (3 �) acres. reserving therefrom the family burying ground.
 10th I give & bequeath to my granddaughter Ida Naylor my featherbed.
 I hereby revoke all previous Wills and codicils hereto made by me. Witness my hand this 8th day of Nov. in the year of our lord 1881.

  I Nellie Naylor do make this codicil to my last Will and Testament, I hereby revoke and annul the 8th clause of my said will, by which I devised to my three grandchildren Lizzie, Nellie and Nathaniel, three acres of land to be equally divided between them adjoining the Arthur Robinson and Sallie Randolph tracts, and I do give & bequeath the said three acres of land to my children Sallie Randolph, Phillip Naylor, and Maria E Adams.
 Witness my hand & seal this 5th day Nov. 1892.

  In circuit Court Prince William County Sept 7th the last will and Testament of Nellie Naylor and codicil thereto was produced in court for probate, and the codicil hereto was fully proven by the oaths of F E Bansdell & Jno A Nicol, subscribing witness and ordered to be certified.
 And at a County Court held for said County of Prince William December 6th 1897 The last will and testament of Nellie Naylor dec. was presented for probate and the signature thereto fully proven by the oath of Estelle D Cross one of the witnesses. the other subscribing witness being unable to attend, and order to be recorded.
