a. Note:   Henry Naylor married Waninia, or Ninnia as she was sometimes called, also a slave of the Weir family. Henry and Ninnia raised thirteen children; Page, Lewis, Jennie, Jarret, Ann, Nellie, Roseannah, Rebecca, Henry, Ida, William, Millie and Dora. Lewis, Ann and Rebecca died young. Henry worked as a farm laborer and upon his father's death inherited his own farm. Like many families of the time, Henry had trouble raising money to pay taxes and in 1874 he filed a homestead claim to protect his land from being seized. Henry died before May of 1887.
