a. Note:   Sarah Naylor or "Sallie" as she was called, was born about 1836 on the Liberia farm. She gave birth to a son Charlie Naylor on Feb 23 , 1857; at the time she was owned by Robert C Weir the son of William J Weir. She married Landon Conway at some point and a second son John Randolph Conway was born in 1859, he would later become a Baptist minister. When the Civil War fighting started William J Weir moved to Fluvanna county Virginia taking 22 of his slaves with him; Sallie was one of them. While there Sarah gave birth to a son, Landon named after his father Landon Conway. Sallie's husband died sometime during the war and Sallie returned to Prince William county and married John Randolph on the 1st of February 1866. Sallie and John had children: Emma Jane born on Dec 9, 1866, followed by Maria E, Nelly, Betty born 16th of June 1876, and twins William and Samuel. In 1920, Sallie Randolph then age 83, was still to be found living in her home on Centreville Road.
