a. Note:   Maria E. Naylor married Julius A Clark and the two of them moved to Washington, DC. Julius was a master house builder and Maria worked as a seamstress. In 1870 Maria and Julius shared their house with William Naylor, his wife Sarah and daughter Anna. Also in the household was Adeline Naylor, Maria's niece and Cornelius' daughter. By 1880 Julius was working as a caterer instead of a builder; he died shortly thereafter. By 1889 Maria was remarried to Cornelius Adams. In 1889 Marie sold 5 acres of the land she inherited from her father to her brother Philip.
