Note: Twin brother of Dwight Earl Nelson. Around 1944-45 Donald served in the US Navy in the Pacific Fleet stationed in
Oahu, Hawaii. He served on the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La.
Donald was employed by Aerospace Corp., Engineering Staff, Atlantic Missile
Range Office on the program at Cape Kennedy.
He attended Iowa State Univ.; Tufts Univ.(Medford, MA)(Physics, Class of
1952); Boston Univ. 1 1/2 years fulltime; MIT - worked from 1952 until 1956
when he moved to Florida with wife Mabel and six children.
