Note: Born third of six children Moved to Rutland, ND as a child. After she finished her schooling, she became a teacher in a small one-room country school in Rutland. During the summer months of the years of WWWI she worked in a "cook car", a horse drawn wagon which fed the men working harvest where she met Hilmer shortly after WWI. During WWI she rolled bandages for the Red Cross and worked in the USO, serving coffee and entertaining the service men. She worked at Remington Arms Defense Plant during the war. She also worked at Martin Marietta. Burial: Oct 9 1990, Ft. Logan National Cemetery; 4400 West Kenyon Avenue Denver, CO 80236. Buried at Section W, Site 793. Social Security Death Index Name:Norma E.
