  As an 18 year-old emigrant from Sweden in 1884, he settled near Abercrombie, Dakota Territory. In 1888 he homesteaded a mile northwest of Rutland, and lived on the NW 1/4 of quarter 23 just a mile west and 3/4 mile north of Rutland on the west side.
  In 1910, for $8,500 C.T. purchased the SE m1/4 of section 23 in Rutland Township from his brother August who purchased 200 acres near Grove City, MN.
  Last public office of County Commissioner.
