WILSON Elaine C. Wilson, of Pauls Valley, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Pauls Valley General Hospital in Pauls Valley, OK at 85 years of age. She was born May 2, 1915 in Bethany, Nebraska to Rev. Ira and Veda (Vorse) Griffis. Elaine earned a Bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg, Missouri. She married Edwin L. Wilson, Sr. on September 28, 1946 at Bristow, OK. She has been a resident of Pauls Valley since 1946, and an active member of the First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle R. Griffis. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Edwin L. Wilson, Sr. of Pauls Valley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Edwin L. Wilson, Jr. and Jane of Norman and Rev. Tracy L. Wilson and Verna of Duncan; one sister, Arlene Reich of Las Vegas, NV; one sister-in-law, Mattie Griffis of Norman; one nephew, Louis Griffis of Norman; one niece, Judy Reich of Las Vegas, NV; four granddaughters, Clare and Meg Wilson of Norman and Amy and Emily Wilson of Duncan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Christian Church, 300 N. Ash, Pauls Valley, OK 73075. Services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 11:00 AM at the Stufflebean Funeral Home Chapel, 500 N. Willow, Pauls Valley, OK with Rev. Jim Crockett officiating. Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home.
